For my creative thinking course, I had to choose an imaginary city from Italo Calvino's book “Invisible Cities”. So, I chose Smeraldina. The city is from chapter 5. It’s a trading city. It’s a city of water canals, roads, intersections, bridges, buildings, old style houses, cats, birds, secret lovers and thieves. To go from one place to another you have always the choice between land and boat. First, I made sketches of the city of Smeraldina.
